Both the hip hop elements and the poppier elements take me back to that TRL era when there was a great mix of mainstream pop and hip hop. As a '90s teen, Dark & Wild reminds me a lot of the music I loved when I was in high school. I'd say it was generally pretty early in my journey, though, and I hadn't yet decided on a favorite album at the time I first heard it.

Though all of the earlier BTS albums ranked lower than HYYH era and on, it surprised me that Dark & Wild had only one song in the Top 100.
